Broken Mud

Here's a Rather unique in camera effect, but first lets have a small science lesson! We've been having ALOT of rain where I live and at my College Campus in the back of my Photo Class, there's this HUG patch of mud and dirt that was litterally EVERYWHERE! That is until recently when we've been getting a Series of Heatwaves (it being the Middle of Spring where the Heat Rises after all!) And thus the mud drys and turns into dirt, because of this the Dirt actually starts to harden and break apart because of the Heat! Creating this Microsized Desert/Revine!

Now what you see here is a combination of what the lighting was at the time I shot this (which was VERY Cloudy!) and I started to shoot with the Automatic setting on my Camera making the Usual Brown Dirt turn a Very Light Gray! You'll also notice that the Greens of the Plant life surronding the Dirt become More Concentrated!

Now as I said, this was actually an In Camera Effect, and no altering/photoshop effects were need for this particular Subject! It was just my camera Auto Adujustment Feature utilizing the Color lighting of the Cloudy Day! Really Cool huh?!
